Welcome to the 2015-2016 School Year!Hello, My name is Ms. Rebecca Hromjak (rom-jack).This is my 4th year teaching at MASH. I taught for 4 years prior to New Haven at Sacred Heart School In Stamford, CT as a Pre K 3 teacher. I completed my student teaching interning at Prendergast School in Ansonia, CT in Grade 2 and Preschool at Julia Day Nursery and Kindergarten in Ansonia CT.I earned an A.S. in Early Childhood Education from Gateway Community College 2003. I also attended Southern CT State University where I earned:B.A. in psychology 2007 ;B.S. in Early Childhood education 2007;M.S. Elementary Education 2009; 6th Year degree in Classroom Teacher Specialist Elementary Education 2011. I am Currently CT licensed provisional level endorsement #113:Integrated Early Childhood with Special Education Grades N- Grade 3. I worked for several tutoring companies in the area of mathematics and reading. I raised three children and enjoy being a parent. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION FOR THE SCHOOL AND IN THE CLASSROOM.THERE ARE MANY PARENTS THAT I HAVE TRIED CONTACTING THAT DO NOT HAVE WORKING PHONE NUMBERS, BACKUP NUMBERS. WE NEED CURRENT INFORMATION IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.PLEASE UPDATE YOUR CONTACT LISTS AS YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LEAVE THE SCHOOL WITH ANYONE NOT ON THE LIST. All students at Mauro-Sheridan are considered tardy when arriving to school after 9:25. If arriving after 9:25, parents need to bring their children to the main office to get a late pass. The students will give the late pass to his/her homeroom teachers. The homeroom teachers will mark the students tardy at that time. Excessive tardiness will be reported to the Truancy Officer. Students who arrive late on buses will NOT be marked tardy. If your child is absent, you MUST send a written note or doctor’s note to school when the child returns. Even if you call the school about the absence, you must have your child return to school with a note. We need written documentation of absences. If a student is absent for 5 consecutive days, a doctor’s note must be brought into school upon returning.
